Description
Druid of Ravenhenge is a Fifth Edition adventure for three to five characters of first or second level. It is optimized for a party of four characters with an average party level (APL) of 1. Characters who complete this adventure will earn the experience needed to reach second or third level.
We designed this first-level adventure to encourage players to explore their character’s abilities and experiment with multiple solutions to encounters beyond simple combat. Druid of Ravenhenge has numerous paths to successful outcomes, so players who complete the objectives while avoiding combat earn the same experience or advancement. This adventure takes place in a woodland area. Its location is intentionally generic so that it can fit into any setting. It is playable as a standalone or inserted into any campaign that features the Fey or Fey-adjacent and wooded terrain.
You estimate you’re less than an hour’s walk from the town, and already the thought of a hot meal and a warm bed is putting a bit of a spring in your step. It seems your decision to travel together was a wise one, as you have been untroubled by animals or highwaymen. Suddenly you hear screams coming from the woods to the west. A path about five feet wide leads off into the woods in that direction.

The party is making its way down a path or road through a wooded area. They’ve overhead bits of gossip from other travelers and locals at farms and taverns along the way. For years a group of Fey has lived here around their henge, mostly in peace with the hermit Nigel (a low-level Druid) who used to inhabit the cabin. Unfortunately, the hermit died not long ago, and a will o wisp has moved in, looking to lure passers-by to their dooms. The Fey aren’t strong enough to defeat the will o wisp on their own, so they hope to bargain with a suitable party. But, they aren’t as good at negotiation as they think and have already antagonized several adventurers with their pranks. If the party recognizes what is going on, they could team up with the Fey to defeat or drive off the will o wisp and earn the gratitude of the Fey and possibly the loot left in the cabin. If they don’t, they could find themselves fighting two opponents at once
